Dü Pig é uma banda de Blackpool de UK. São enérgicos, melódicos e um “coche” “barulhentos” mas no bom sentido. Sente-se imediatamente a nostalgia de um grunge certeiro “para a frente” e um noise rock desprovido de pretensiosismo. Este EP THROUGH ENOUGH é constituído por quatro temas e arrancamos com TREAT, um tema liderado pelos riffs de grunge inspirado de anos 90 que fluem da guitarra de Bean, uma boa malha de baixo por Matt e a bateria assertiva tocada pelo outro Matt. I am Pavlov and you are Pavlov’s dog (Part I & II) tem uma sonoridade reminiscente de uns QOTSA, mas com a patente da música que se fazia em Seattle durante a década de 90. O tema tem passagens inspiradas de guitarra e dá o mote para The Penultimate Waltz, com uma toada mais lenta e solos de guitarra competentes. Os riffs voltam entretanto para electrizar o tema a par das vocalizações de Bean. O último tema Acshun/re é um bom tema para encerrar um EP promissor que apenas peca por ser curto.

Dü Pig is a band from Blackpool in the UK. They are energetic, melodic and a litte bit “noisy” but in a good way. We immediately feel the nostalgia of a straight-forward kind of grunge and a noise rock without pretenses. This EP has four songs and we set off with TREAT, a song that is lead by the grunge inspired riffs from the 90’s that flow from Bean’s guitar, a good bass line by Matt and the assertive drumming played by the other Matt. I am Pavlov and yoir are Pavlov’s dog (Part I & II) has a sound reminiscent of QOTSA, but with the trademark of the music that was played in Seattle during the 90’s. The song has inspired guitar passages and prepares us for The Penultimate Waltz with a slower melody and competent guitar solos but the riffs come back to electrify the song along side Bean’s vocals. The last song Achshun/re is a good song to close a promising EP that its only flaw is that it’s too short.
