Existe muita riqueza no planeta Terra, muita dela não observável e outra visível ao olho humano. O ouro faz parte dessa riqueza, e é produzido a partir da colisão de duas estrelas de nêutrons. Desde as civilizações milenares que o ouro é utilizado para adoração de deuses, para ornamentar templos e palácios, para embelezar imperatrizes e até as vestes do clero. O ouro foi sempre, simbolicamente falando, a ponte para o divino e para o sagrado. É, também, por causa da exploração do ouro (e do seu saqueamento) que grandes impérios se fortaleceram e que outros se arruinaram.
O ouro, como qualquer outra relíquia, pode ser o caminho para o bem ou para o mal. Tudo depende de como é utilizado e para que finalidade. Quanto à música, os Gold têm a chave de ouro que abre a porta para uma outra realidade, que é depressiva, carregada de traumas em busca de catarses. Milena Eva é quem canta passiva e encantadoramente, a sua voz segue ou confronta melodias pesadas, negras e atmosféricas. O último disco Why Aren't You Laughing? despertou a atenção do público e foi bem recebido pela comunidade de fãs. O tema He is Not foi um dos mais virais:

Aqui a frase comunica o automatismo de um corpo entorpecido, encerrado dentro do que poderia ser uma declaração de resistência e vontade de continuar. Linhas como:

O álbum é uma declaração poderosa, tanto pessoal quanto oportuna, e lida com domínios complexos e de vulnerabilidade, dificuldade, prestação de contas, respostas e responsabilidades; tudo isto não é so incluído no drama arrebatador e sombrio, mas também no forte impacto presente em Why Aren't You Laughing?. Gold tem os ouvidos dos fãs em alerta já a partir de 2017 com Optimist. Os temas White Noise e You Too must Die foram dos mais virais do disco porque jogam com a voz suspense que se arrasta de forma estranha, ao género de filme de terror, viajando em direcção à cadência rítmica da bateria e dos riffs atmosféricos das guitarras. Lançaram o primeiro disco em 2012 e em 2015 foram editados pela Ván na Europa e pela Profound Lore nos EUA. De álbum para álbum o som da banda holandesa tem ficado cada vez mais refinado, as guitarras melódicas e pesadas entram na maior parte das vezes em crescendo e em contramão com a voz passiva, catatónica e grave de Milena Eva.

Milena Eva is the vocalist that sings either passively or delightfully, following or confronting the heavy melodies of the dark and atmospheric guitars. Their latest record Why Aren't You Laughing? captured the attention of the public and was well received by the music community. The song He is Not became quite popular:

that verse communicates the automatism of a numb body closed inside on what can be a declaration of independence and the will to go forward. Verses like:

The record is a powerful declaration, as much personal as timely and deals with complex issues such as vulnerability, hardships, accountability, answers and responsibilities; all of this is present in the somber and entrancing Why Aren't You Laughing?. However, in 2017 with the release of Optimist that the band has already toured all over the world. The songs White Noise and You too Must Die became quite well known, they are songs that dabble with a suspenseful vocals in the style of a strange horror movie, with the drums rhythmic' s cadence and the guitar's atmospheric riffs.
