No cruzamento do indie rock, post-rock, emo e post-hardcore chega-nos uma locomotiva sonora oriunda de Nashville (EUA) chamada Shell of a Shell. Away Team é o seu disco de estreia editado em Fevereiro deste ano. 

As guitarras tanto demolidoras como serenas elevam-nos para um patamar de frequências sónicas que não obstante serem melódicas, possuem a sua dose única de criatividade e experimentação, talvez não longe de uns Fugazi ou primórdios de Sonic Youth. 

As melodias dinâmicas são sustidas até ao auge e explodem freneticamente, nunca sabendo o que podemos esperar no segundo seguinte. Away Team atinge-nos com o seu imediatismo emocional e urgente de emo old-school que se une a passagens serenas e logo explosivas de post-rock, especialmente nos dois temas mais longos do disco, Don’t Expect e Seems Like.

At the railroad crossing of indie rock, post-rock, emo and post-hardcore a sonic locomotive arrives coming from Nashville (USA) called Shell of a Shell. Away Team is its debut album released in February this year.

The guitars that are as demolishing as serene elevate us to a stage of sonic frequencies that are extremely melodic but also have a fair amount of creativity and experimentation, maybe not so far from bands like Fugazi or early Sonic Youth.

The melodic dynamics are brought to a higher level and then explode and we never know what to expect in the next second. Away Team strikes us with its emocional urgency of old-school emo that unites to calm and then explosive passages of post-rock, especially in the longer themes of the record, Don’t Expect and Seems like.
