Exit surgiu na década frutífera dos anos 90 para o metal mais extremo. A banda veterana da Suíça lança este ano o seu quinto álbum de estúdio intitulado Traces of Human Existence.
Um crossover equilibrado entre trash e death metal com apontamentos fortes de metalcore permeia os nove temas do disco que convidam a um headbanging acelerado e sem restrições de idade. Riffs contagiantes alinhados a uma bateria dinâmica e bombástica acompanham os vocais tempestuosos e delirantes.
O metal sempre foi uma das formas musicais mais interventivas (em certos casos, claro) e Exit não se prende a barreiras ou limites para dar voz ao seu descontentamento.
Cada tema tem a sua identidade própria e nunca somos presos a um vortex homogéneo ou entediante, havendo passagens acústicas surpreendentes e mais pacíficas como em Empire, um dos temas mais introspectivos do disco. Claro que a tempestade e a calma andam de mãos dadas num equilíbrio entre o extremo e o sereno.
Uma proposta interessante de uma banda veterana que pode agradar a quem não abdica de algum tradicionalismo, mas que continua com os ouvidos receptivos a novas tendências.

Exit appeared in the 90’s a fruitful decade for more extreme metal. The veteran band from Switzerland releases this year their fifth studio album called Traces of Human Existence.
A delicate balance between trash and death and with strong dashes of metalcore permeates the 9 themes of the record that invite us to fast headbanging with no age restrictions. Captivating riffs aligned to dynamic and bombastic drums accompany the tempestuous and delirious vocals.
Metal has always been an interventive art form (in some cases, of course) and Exit are not held by barriers or limits when expressing their discontent.
Each theme holds its own identity and we are never stuck in a homogenous or tedious vortex. There are surprising and peaceful acoustic passages such as in the song Empire, one of the more introspective songs of the record. Ferocity and calm walk hand in hand in an equilibrium between the extreme and the serene.
An interesting listen from a veteran band that may please those who like some tradition but are also open to new sonic tendencies.
